Welcome. The Safeplace 24 system allows you to pinpoint any location on the planet with 4 words. It really is as simple as that.
Need to give someone your location?
Give them the 4 words.
Been sent a 4 word location?
Use our system to see exactly where they are.
What are the benefits?
There are several key benefits of using Safeplace 24 over other ways to share your location.
Four words are easier to communicate than long and cryptic GPS coordinates.
You are much less likely to mis-read or mis-hear an English word than a digit in a long sequence of numbers.
This is especially true if you are telling someone your location over the phone. You don't need to know
the name of the road or town you are in, just those four words.
Postcodes aren't always available and can cover huge areas.
Giving someone a postcode is nice and short, but only apply to addressable areas - so won't count if you
are in the countryside or a remote location. Plus, they often cover several streets so are no good if you
want to find someone or where you parked the car for example.
Every unique location in the world can be pinpointed with four words.
The location system covers land and sea, across the entire globe.
The four words read like a news headline, making them easier to remember.
This isn't always the case but most 4 word locations are structured so they read almost like a news headline.
You can enter the four words in any order.
The system is flexible enough that words can actually be entered in any order you like and they will
still point to the same location. This is especially helpful for anyone who may mix words up due to
ADHD, dyslexia or are in a stressful situation.
There are no singular and plural versions of words, and words are never repeated for the same location.
You will never find both singular and plural versions of words anywhere, for example "forest"
and "forests". They are too easy to get mixed up. You will also never find the same word
repeated in an address, which would also be confusing.

How does it work?
The system is proprietary and quite complex behind the scenes, but here is the important information
you may need to ensure you can trust it.
Each location is accurate to roughly 11 meters.
This is about the length of a bus, so if you are looking for someone at that location it should be
pretty easy to find them.
Each of the four words is unique.
Words are never repeated in the same sequence, which helps you check it is a real Safeplace 24 location.
Words aren't duplicated as single and plural.
To prevent mistakes and make checking easier, you won't find the singular and plural version of words in a Safeplace 24 address.
The words can be read and entered in any order.
Being able to enter the words in any order to point to the same geographical location is incredibly
useful and helps to prevent any mistakes.
When sharing words, they can be separated with a space, or a dot etc.
As words always consist of alphabetic characters, when you share them you can separate them with a
space or a dot, or even a dash character if you wanted to. We prefer to use spaces when messaging people
unless we are sharing the full URL link where words would be separated with dots.
Can you give some examples?
If the person receiving the location knows you use Safeplace 24 then you can just send them the
four words like this:
Adorable Harding Misspells Liquor
If you want to share the full URL which will take the recipient straight to our website with a
pin in the map showing the location, they look like this:
